At Siya we teach our students from the basic constituents of the ingredients, macro and micronutrients are kept in perspective before choosing an ingredient for cooking. Prana of food is of outmost importance, compressive approach is developed towards the parameter of food in accordance with Ayurveda.
There is an important relation between vegetarian cuisine and Ayurvedic ways of cooking which is taught to understand the fine line among them. Students are also taught to balance doshas via food by selecting appropriate ingredients and the body type for which the meal is being prepared. The cooking class is the best way to understand the use of herbs in diet and how it helps to rejuvenate the body and detoxifies the body with food as a major tool.
